With a sugar cookie crust and cream cheese frosting, these caramel apple cookies are a delicious fall treat and they're super simple to make!
I love the variety of apples I can find at the grocery store now that the apple picking season is in full swing. My favorite apples to eat are Pink Lady. But I also like to use apples for cooking and baking. Apple dessert recipes are something I like to do in the fall… especially for a sweet treat on a cool fall night.

- baking sheets
- cookie cooling rack
- wax paper
Ingredients
- 1 medium green apple and red apple

Directions
- Start by preparing your sugar cookies. I use premade cookie dough to make them as quick as possible, but you can also make your own favorite sugar cookie recipe.
- While the cookies are baking, cut your green and red apples into small pieces. Prepare the cream cheese frosting and once the cookies have cooled, frost generously.
- Sprinkle with apples and pecans. Using a spatula, lightly press the frosting. Place cookies on wax paper and drizzle with caramel sauce.
