Ingredients
- 2 pounds of potatoes
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- taste the salt
- to taste Black pepper
Instructions
- Peel your potatoes and cut them into large 1-inch pieces.
- Place the potato pieces in a saucepan. Cover with salted water and bring to a boil.
- Cook your fluffy potatoes. Test whether the potatoes are cooked by pushing them with a knife. The knife should pass like butter.
- Filter and discard the water, bring the potatoes back to the pan.
- Start mashing the potatoes with a pestle.
- Add the butter and milk to the potatoes and continue to mash while the pot is still on low heat.
- Crush as much as you want. Some people like it more stocky.
- Taste and see if you need to add more salt and season with black pepper.
- Mix well and remove from heat.
- Serve while still hot.
