Strawberry Jam Crumb Cake Bars Recipes

A bowl, a pan and a few ingredients found in the pantry are all you need for these delicious bars of breadcrumbs and strawberry jam cake!
Strawberries are my absolute favorite - especially in summer when they are juicy and fresh! So of course, I love to eat all kinds of strawberry desserts. And this strawberry jam cake is so easy to make!
The most effort you need to put into it is simply measuring some of the ingredients! Well, that and maybe have a little restraint while waiting for them to cool down so you can eat them!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of flour 
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 
  • 1 cup oatmeal 
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened 
  • 3/4 cup strawberry jam 

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Line an 8x8 baking sheet with aluminum foil, leaving an overhang on both sides. 
  3. Grease the aluminum foil. 
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, oats and brown sugar. 
  5. Add the butter and mix well until it is evenly moistened - with your hands it's better! 
  6. Squeeze 2 cups of the mixture into the bottom of the mold. 
  7. Spread the strawberry jam in an even layer on the oat mixture. 
  8. Sprinkle the rest of the oat mixture over the top of the jam and press lightly. 
  9. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes, until golden. 
  10. Let cool completely and cut into squares. 
  11. keep in a tightly closed case.
